How to Update Aadhaar Address Online in 2025 — A Simple Guide
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) allows citizens to update their Aadhaar address online through the Self Service Update Portal (SSUP). If you have recently moved or changed your permanent address, updating your Aadhaar is important because it is linked to almost every government scheme.
You'll need a valid address-proof document — such as a passport, driving licence, ration card, voter ID or a utility bill not older than three months. The scanned copy should be under 2 MB and in PDF, JPG or PNG format.
The current fee for demographic address update is ₹50 (inclusive of GST). Processing typically takes 5–7 working days, after which you can download the updated e-Aadhaar from the UIDAI website.
If you are unable to update online because your mobile number is not linked to Aadhaar, visit our Suraj Enterprises centre — we can do the biometric-based update in a single visit.
